1440 vs 1600 gaming. Samsung's Odyssey OLED Curved Monitor provides the absolute immersive gaming experience. 1440/ultra on new games at 60-100fps. Obviously, 1600p would look better, but is it worth the extra cost? Also, how big of a jump is it from 1080p to 1440p/1600p? Would it be worth upgrading to either of them, in comparison to just sticking with 1080p? What I'm wondering mostly is about the visible difference (aside from 27" vs 30") in these monitors. As for being obsolete, tweaking settings down the line is obviously possible here to maintain higher FPS. Hi, 3840x1600 - 38" 3440x1440 - 34" Do you guys have any experience with monitors of these resolutions? Which would you recommend for me if I have purely gaming intentions? I wonder if the 38" monitor isn't way too big. Then again, thanks to playing a certain rhythm game I can jump across the whole screen and hit a small button in about half a second. With all other things being equal, I'm just thinking if overpaying for QHD on a laptop screen alone vs the same FHD counterpart is worth it if you can invest the same in a 25+ inch 1440p monitor instead, while still having greater performance on the native 1080p display for years to come. The productivity improvement from reading/browsing/images is great. For PC on the PC, a GameFAQs message board topic titled "1440p vs 1600p". Yeah, it seems like a nice res for things overall, though I do agree with people on here mentioning that the res can be hard to drive at times, vs the 1440 ones.
